Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify the contributions of Physical Education classes to the development of the autonomy of a student with Spastic Cerebral Palsy, with 17 years old. This investigation was carried out in the first semester of 2019, taking into account the student's experience in Physical Education classes from the previous year. The results showed that classes held at a school in the city of Colatina, ES, provided this student with the perception of greater autonomy and body awareness, in addition to facilitating socialization with school subjects at that institution. Considering the possibilities of student participation in the different exercise proposals could contribute to her acquiring more flexibility and strength, enabling significant advances in her autonomy.
