This article is the result of a master’s thesis, carried out in the Graduate Program in Education, at the University of Uberaba, which aimed to understand teacher training for Professional and Technological Education (EPT), based on the specific legislation that permeate its development, contained in the Law of Directives and Bases of Education (LDB) and in the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC). I aimed to reflect on teaching in Professional and Technological Education and analyse the Pedagogical Project of a course for teacher training at the Triângulo Mineiro Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology (IFTM). Is a documentary research of the relevant law and the pedagogical and bibliographic project of the authors of THC, to elucidate the context and the researched object. The pedagogical project of the IFTM course denotes the theoretical-practical development beyond the development of specific-Pedagogy for EPT. The Historical-Cultural Theory (THC) and the Activity Theory, Considering the man as a social being who learns from his relational Environment, in which he develops, acts and influences his peers, cam be a support for the still complex teacher education in the 21st century. There are nuances of the integral formation of subject with reflective, interactive and collaborative participation. Given the scope and specificity of EPT, training teachers in this educational segment, with a view to their professional and human development, is a huge challenge, given the technical characteristics that involve and permeate Professional and Technological Education, since the Beginning of its emergence.
