The environment in which we live affects our decision-making and the school context is no different. The school's built environment has an impact on the teaching and learning process and knowledge of the mechanisms of this phenomenon can contribute to evidence-based pedagogical management. Therefore, the goal of this paper was to carry out a post-occupancy evaluation of the classrooms used by students on the Civil Engineering degree course at the IFMS - Aquidauana Campus from the perspective of the Behavioral Sciences. The results showed that female students are more likely to fail and have a higher self-perception of anxiety, while students with higher levels of motivation in terms of classroom design are less likely to fail. Considering the need to improve the chairs and tables in the classrooms, solutions were proposed for classroom design and pedagogical practices based on behavioral sciences.
