This research aims to understant the changes proposed by the National Curriculum Guidelines for Professional and Technological Education (DCNETP), as a movement marked by a neoliberal and privatist bias, through the presentation of flexible, fragmented and capital-aligned education. The text takes up the historical line of the high school counter-reform to understand the movement of origin of the Guidelines. In addition, some points of the DCNEPT are problematized from critical studies in the field of work and education. The study confirms the threats and setbacks brought by the document, signaling consequences for students and workers, as well as stimulating creative resistance as a way to overcome the challenges presented.
