Abstract

The end of 2019 was by the appearance of a new spillover, called the new human coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, a virus that causes the COVID-19 disease. Patients that are diagnosticated with the SARS-CoV-2 have in their feces the viral RNA, indicating an alert to the possibility of the fecal-oral transmission. Given the current scenario, this article aim to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 on the environment (contaminated water resources) and in the sewage. This study is a systematic review, which twenty technic-scientific materials about the subject were found. Most of them are from China, written in English, showing the importance of articles written in Portuguese. It should be noted that in most of the researches were obtained identification forms of identification of viral load were obtained using PCR technique and to the desinfectation, desinfectants as hypochlorite and ultraviolet (UV).
