OIL WELL DRILLING: THEORETICAL REVIEW AND BRAZILIAN PROJECTION

The obtaining of the oil has been a challenge since 1859, when the first oil well was drilled. The search for the improvement of drilling technology is very important for the oil industry, because this improvement makes it possible to reach deeper reservoirs. An important point in this research is that an expressive number of studies are published every year. For this reason, this paper aims to review the technologies currently used nowadays to make a projection of the situation of the drilling of oil wells in the Brazilian territory and the environmental issue. As a result, the market opinion proved to be favorable for Brazilian growth, the environmental scope was on the rise and, in addition, machine learning technologies are being increasingly implemented in the oil well drilling system.
