Abstract

Moringa oleifera Lam (moringaceae) is a plant native to India and is currently widely cultivated in Central America and parts of Africa. It has a great capacity for medicinal use due to its high nutritional value. This work aimed to carry out the collection of Moringa oleifera genotypes in cities in the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and Piaui. 22 accesses of Moringa being mapped. Twenty genotypes were obtained in Espirito Santo. The characteristics evaluated were plant height and diameter, leaf length and petiole length. With the results obtained in this work, it was possible to conclude that the height and diameter characteristics of the plant, in the period in which they were evaluated, did not allow the distinction between the studied Moringa oleifera genotypes. For the evaluations related to leaves, it was not possible to observe differences between the genotypes.
