A A TECNOLOGIA NO AUXÍLIO À EDUCAÇÃO DE PESSOAS COM AUTISMO: ANÁLISE INTEGRADA DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA

Abstract

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) affect a significant number of people who have communication and socialization difficulties, resulting in several obstacles in the learning process. The number of students with autism has constantly expanded and has become the most prevalent disability at school age. When observing the literature, it is possible to conclude that research that addresses the implications of technologies in the education of people with ASD requires further exploration. Therefore, the present work aims to identify the dimension of studies on the relationship between autism, education and technology. The methodology adopted was a bibliometric analysis, using the Proknow-C method (Knowledge Developmend Process-Constructivist), in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Among the results obtained are the authors who published the most on the topic (Beth Malow, Sarah Parsosn, Paul Shattuck and Mary Wagner); the analysis of the most relevant journals (Journal of autism and developmental disorders and Autism) and the analysis of the co-occurrence of keywords that were autism and technology. As for future research, there is a need to propose bibliometric analyzes that bring more results that address the integration between themes.
