Studies in neuroscience highlight the importance of visual pathways and the connections between different brain pathways for mathematical learning, and consequently, the importance of visual stimuli during teaching processes. Therefore, there is a need to invest in strategies that can enhance the learning from visual stimuli, and, from this perspective, augmented reality accessed through a mobile device can be a good ally, especially for studies in the field of geometric visualization. This work seeks to analyze potentialities in the use of the augmented reality application Sólidos RA, developed by one of the authors of this work, as a resource to aid the development of geometric visualization by students. To achieve this, a qualitative research was realized using a participatory intervention methodology, with students from two classes of the 7th grade and one of the 8th grade of Middle School, performing geometry activities with the use of augmented reality through the Sólidos RA application. The data obtained indicate that the activities carried out contributed positively to the development of visualization skills by the students.
