PROGRAMA DE PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO EM ENGENHARIA METALÚRGICA E DE MATERIAIS, IFES - CAMPUS VITÓRIA: RETROSPECTIVA DE DEZ ANOS

Abstract

Knowing the path of the egress is essential to seek subsidies in order to improve the quality of research and university management. Due to the relevance of this subject to the technical and scientific community, this study aims to stratify and analyze the profile of the egress of the Postgraduation in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Ifes. Data were obtained from the program coordinator and by egress responses to electronic form. Metallurgical and materials engineers were found to represent the majority of graduates, many of them graduates from the institution itself. With regard to women, they represent a smaller number of master's students, most of them need a scholarship to complete the course and have a lower average age and shorter stay in the program. Finally, it was noticed that the companies recognize the academic development carried out at Ifes, considering the permanence of the graduates in the job and the receipt of promotion with the obtaining of the title.
